We offer all types of repairs and modifications for your guitar or bass, and work on both acoustic and electric. This is a partial list of repairs and services we offer. If you are interested in anything not listed here, please email or call us.
Repair Estimates: We will evaluate your guitar and provide you an estimate of the repairs needed. There is no charge for this service if you have us do all the work that is recommended in the estimate. If you choose not to have the work done, there is a $75 fee for the evaluation and estimate service. We do need to actually see the guitar (not just photos) in order to provide an accurate estimate.
Setups: Setups are our most requested service, and customers are often amazed at the difference a proper setup can make to the playability and tone of their instrument. We adjust your instrument to your playing style, and include truss rod adjustment, adjust the action at the bridge and the nut, set the intonation, clean and oil the fingerboard, restring and tune.
Fret Work: We do fret mills, partial and full re-frets and offer nickel-silver and stainless steel fretwire. Frets are leveled and recrowned, along with fretboard modifications and radius corrections.
Structural Repairs: This covers everything from bridge reglues, snapped headstock, loose braces, body cracks, binding repair and any other structural problem.
Pickup and Hardware Installations: We provide pickup installations for both acoustic and electric guitars. We do rewiring as well as other hardware installations including tuners, bridges, and strap lock systems.
Valuation Appraisals: We will provide a written appraisal as an indication of current market value whether you should want to sell or purchase an instrument, or simply want to properly insure it.
Evertune Bridges: Erlewine Guitars is an authorized installer of Evertune Bridges. Please visit the Evertune website for more information on their bridges and the guitars they can be installed in.
